Expedia is on the brink of launching its first Amazon-branded ad campaign, according to a report from Business Insider.
The ad campaign will target “people searching for the latest deals on food, clothing, beauty, electronics, electronics accessories, and more,” according to Business Insider’s sources.
“The new campaign is targeted at shoppers who are looking for the best deals, with a focus on women looking for bargains and people looking for high-end products,” the report reads.
“We are excited to partner with Expedia to help them reach more people,” the company said in a statement.
Amazon has historically been a good match for Expedia.
In 2014, Expedia launched an exclusive deal on Amazon’s Prime membership program, and the two companies were even able to use Amazon Prime’s Prime Music streaming service.
In 2018, Expeditors Prime members also got exclusive access to Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited digital library.
That same year, Expensys Prime members could buy $49 off the price of Amazon’s Amazon Echo smart speaker for just $149.
Amazon also recently expanded its Prime Now service to include grocery shopping.
The company also recently signed a new agreement with Walmart that will bring Amazon Prime Now to Walmart stores in the U.S. and Canada.
The Amazon Prime subscription service also allows customers to shop for and order products through Amazon’s app and through their Amazon Dash Charge account.
Amazon’s ads for the Amazon Alexa-enabled smart speaker will run on Expedia’s ad network for at least six months.
